Start with a Clear Setting
An AI partner can only work with what you give it. If you open with a vague line, you will get a vague answer. Instead, establish time, place, and mood in your very first message. Think of it as the opening shot of a film — the audience needs to know where they are before any dialogue matters. A detailed setting also anchors the AI's tone: a torch-lit dungeon produces different language than a sunlit balcony. Spend two or three sentences painting the scene, and watch how much sharper the responses become. The more sensory detail you include — sounds, smells, light — the more material the AI has to mirror back in its replies.
*The tavern sits at the edge of the docks, lantern-light flickering across salt-stained tables. You push open the heavy oak door and spot her in the corner — boots on the bench, a half-empty glass of wine catching the amber glow.*
